How Much Does a Divorce Cost in Mississippi?
Flexible Fees Here.

I utilize a flexible billing system which aims to accommodate almost any budget. This offers flexibility in the amount and manner in which fees are paid, as well as customization of representation. In instances where I cannot accept a potential client, I’m happy to offer a referral.

This type of billing practice allows for potentially unlimited variations in the scope of representation and attorney’s fees. Each person and each case is different and I strive to reach an agreement for representation that is personalized to each client’s unique situation. That being said, most contracts fall into the following general categories:

Fixed Fee Contract: A one time, single payment for legal representation that is limited in scope. This type of agreement limits the representation to a specific period of time or a specific act. Upon expiration of the time frame or completion of the act, representation will automatically cease (though renewal options are often included).

Hourly Billing Contract: A monthly bill for the work performed on the client’s behalf at an agreed upon hourly rate. An initial retainer is due upon signing and is credited toward each monthly bill until exhausted, at which point it must be replenished in order for representation to continue. Any unused portion of the retainer is refunded to the client. The amount of the retainer and the hourly billing rate are dependent on the specifics of each case.

Contingency Fee Contract: No attorney’s fees are owed until, and unless, the client receives monetary compensation. The amount of the fee is based on an agreed upon percentage of the total amount recovered or awarded. Contingency fee contracts are prohibited in domestic cases and criminal cases. This type of fee or billing system is most commonly used in Mississippi car accident cases.
